Yesterday was an interesting day. I awoke as I always do and spent my first hours of the morning in solitude, meditation and prayer. I found that within hours, my body ached and I had some cold-like symptoms going on. So, I decided to take the day home from work, which is great and spend some of my time automating my bills. So, what was going to be an unproductive day, ended up becoming one of the most productive events of the past four months. It took some time to figure out just where my budget was leading me and find out what I could do to make the necessary changes I needed to get all of my bills where they needed to be and have enough in my checking account to have a nice $1000 cushion besides my savings and such. I have found that to truly be safe, you need to save about 3-6 months worth of monthly costs as a “Safe Fund” in a savings account in order to ever prepare for the worst. Pay those no-good credit cards off and then, begin to truly live and invest in your future. Just remember, any time you spend money you don’t have, you borrow against your future. So, I got everything setup and even setup the automated savings transfer from my checking to savings and now by next month, everything will be better than current, automated and clear. NOW WE START TO SAVE!!!!
After all of this, I then began to setup all of my non-profit ventures and business for the same thing. I think I will finish everything in the next two months! Can you imagine not having to write checks anymore?
I am so excited!
