Thought of the Week 10-31-2008

“Always in life an idea starts small, it is only a sapling idea, but the vines will come and they will try to choke your idea so it cannot grow and it will die and you will never know you had a big idea, an idea so big it could have grown thirty meters through the dark canopy of leaves and touched the face of the sky.”

Fact of the Day:
In a ritual repeated nearly every weekend for the past decade here in Colombia’s war-weary Caribbean hinterland, Luis Soriano gathered his two donkeys, Alfa and Beto, in front of his home on a recent Saturday afternoon. You know, it is a small thing, but I love this idea. I think it’s time for us to do small things for one person at a time. We have too many people wondering how we can change our world, our economy, our nation, our government, our whatever!

Where are the people that simply wonder, “Hmmmm, how can I change my neighbor’s perspective?” I am all for changing people’s perspective. For seeing people smile. For helping one person at a time. And I believe that we all can make a world of difference to at least one person next to us every week!

I challenge us to!

Have a great weekend! And don’t forget to vote next week and change your clock on Sunday. BOTH ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT! Hahahaha!
