HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY begs any number of referential mash-ups to be used as description of its outlandish tonal and stylistic qualities. It’s a little like a romantic and sophisticated live-action Ninja Turtles movie imbued with a cracked version of H.P. Lovecraft’s monster storytelling.

I loved the movie, of course, Hellboy has been one of my favorites for years. And actually, Hellboy, the first movie is a movie that I will throw in anytime I am down. I probably watch the thing at least once a month if not more! HAHAHAHA!
So, now you really know how weird I am. I also like the Animated Movies. There are two out right now and there is one more on the way. del Toro has a way with artistry and imagery that totally draws me in.
