Is This What You Are Looking For?

Chinese workers leaving cities in droves

Global economic crisis takes the jobs that were supposed to be these workers’ path out of poverty.

This is truly interesting. The article even states that any instability in the country’s populace could lead to issues in the government. Is this a bad thing? For so many years the US has been friends with China because they have fulfilled all of our personal desires. They have allowed us to live in luxury yet at Walmart and Dollar Store prices. The catch is that we however, haven’t spent many nights awake, losing sleep over the fact that China is still VERY HOSTILE to anyone that does not think their way. On the outside it seems great that we have been friends, but truthfully, for believers in unregistered churches that currently meet underground, there is no such friendship. For many years China has been a human rights violator whether in the form of the working poor, the child laborer or the religious subdued.

What is the answer to the issues? Instability. My belief is that the government of China needs to be a little more worried about their population so that they will begin to give them the rights that they so deserve. The wonderful Chinese people are worth much more than simple work hands that fulfill the USA’s every whim. It is time that they had a voice, it is time that they had more freedom from human rights violations.

Maybe this is the beginning. How do we keep people stable when they are in the midst of loss?

1 – Care more about people than our traditions and rules.

It’s time for a kinder China. Come on China, enter the new millennium.

2 – Offer them something to replace what they’ve lost.

So, you can’t give them money, that’s ok, give them something else instead. Let them know that you have heard them. Find ways to show the people that you are doing something. For instance, replace their loss of funds with an opportunity for freedom in worship or some other area. Change the harsh face to a softer, caring face, which I believe goes along with my next point.

3 – Always give something. When you can’t give what a person desires, give them what you can.

4 – And the hardest thing for this Chinese government is this, LISTEN more and TELL less!

In a time of high stress and loss, at least give ear to what the people are saying and what country has more people that possibly have something to say than China. This would be a great point to reform the way China allows the people to have ownership in government and in their world.

I am a big believer in giving people ownership in an organization. I mean, the ship may still be taking on water and sinking, but at the least you have more people to bail out the load with buckets…

5 – Lastly, USA, it’s time for us to give back. These folks have done so much to help us, as we see them hurt in the next year and possibly on as we rebuild our global economy, it is my hope that we in the West will get involved with countries such as China and bring aid and funds to their economies and families.

Just some thoughts,
dh
