Washington awoke Tuesday to an excited crowd that had long begun staking its positions for the noon inauguration of the nation’s first African-American president.

This is such an amazing thing. It’s so cool being here in DC during all of this. I mean the air is electric and everyone is talking and charged. No matter where you stood on election day, today, we MUST celebrate that old walls are being torn down and equality is being celebrated just days after MLK’s birthday and during the 40 year anniversary of the DC march!!!!
It’s just a great day out there. May the LORD use this day and its activities to bring down hate. May HE change minds and hearts of elitism. May people everywhere have hope that ALL have been created EQUAL!
May today be the day that we pray for our new President just as we have prayed for every President before. LORD bless President Elect Obama, LORD keep him and stir his heart with the things on your heart. LORD, bless and protect his family as he dares step through dangerous doors and leads a country filled with people that both love and hate him for the color of his skin. GOD move among the ones he works with and change our nation.
JESUS, have mercy on us in this time and turn President Elect toward YOU today!
