And you can’t save time to spend it on another day. Even so, time is amazingly fair and forgiving. No matter how much time you’ve wasted in the past, you still have an entire tomorrow. –Denis Waitely

"Time pressure can have powerful effects on the body. Our brain regards clocks, deadlines, and interrupted schedules as a threat, and calls up the "fight or flight" stress response. The incessant struggle to do more and more in less and less time also makes us more likely to respond with toxic anger to anyone or anything slowing us down. Trying to control time by strict scheduling is like trying to control what we eat by strict dieting. We become so obsessed with it that it becomes more — not less — important in our lives. If we relax our grip and stop seeing time as an enemy to be beaten into submission, time relaxes its grip on us. Learning some specific time management skills can help." Dr. David Sobel, Medical Director for Health Education at Kaiser Permanente, shares some tips in this article. [ more ]

This is the sermon from Sunday morning. It will probably be one of the pivotal sermons in our church history. The title is: “Kill the Kings.” The passage is Isaiah Chapter 6 and the heartbeat of the sermon is that until we both corporately and individually dethrone our “personal” kings, we cannot see the LORD high and lifted up!
