The Leadership took a poll a few weeks ago and unanimously decided that it is a good idea to take our Sunday morning service start time to 10:30 AM.

That would mean that instead of services being from 11 AM to 12:30 PM which is often tough for parents and a time issue for anything we have going on Sunday nights and afternoon, we would move to a service that goes from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. And the plan is that all ministry and worship is over right on the 12 PM buzzer if not earlier.

 

We will be changing the format just a little more on Sunday morning messages as well. In an effort to take more of our faith-life to the streets, we will be doing our teachings in three parts. There will be

 

1 – the Sermon on Sunday

2 – Notes and take home thoughts on a sheet you will receive with a weekly post in the “Tapestry App” on your mobile device.

3 – And a special NEW weekly podcast with a fourth and possibly fifth point to the topic.

 

This is in an effort to offer messages, teaching and a worship experience that are DEEP and well-rounded and yet do our best to meet everyone’s time needs and schedules. We VALUE your time and the fact that you share your lives with each other.

So, we wanted to first see what you think. If you have any opinion, criticisms or thoughts, please email Lori at lorihedrick@tapestrychurch.org and just let her know what you are thinking. We love to hear your heart.

 

And just so you can be anticipating it, we are planning on this change by the end of August. So, start getting ready. We will look forward to being able to not only start earlier, but get on to fellowship and relationship building events afterwards!

Hey Guys,

 

It is true, we made the calendar for Robby Dawkins and he is coming from August 12-14, 2011.

So, here is the deal. I need HELP!

 

I need the following for anyone that is interested:

1 – Someone who can be the contact person for the church. (They will take calls and fill people in on details).

2 – Someone who can update the Google calendar and help me with blast emails and such for communications.

3 – Another person to help me find the location to have this. (Daeho, can we see if Montgomery County has a facility that has stadium style seating for this? An auditorium somewhere?) And we need to check with a few more churches. I am contacting a few now.

4 – Someone to help with welcome and greeting the day of.

5 – Someone to help me organize outreach areas for ministry time on Saturday.

6 – Someone who can help me by overseeing the ministry team. (I know we have a team, but we will have possibly other churches to add to it and train, so I have completed the training and need to get it out to you on CDROM and then as well, we need to get name badges done for both this and church).

7 – Someone to oversee follow-up

8 – Someone over worship

 

And then if there is anything I missed, I need some of you to tell me.

So, please email Lori and/or I and let us know which role you are up for and EVERYONE NEEDS TO PLAN TO ATTEND!!!!!!

 

It will be Friday night and Saturday all day.

One last thing about this event. It is going to cost around $3000 and I have said that I will cover the ENTIRE cost as my gift to the church and area, however, if you feel led to help sponsor this event, then please let me know. We are opening it up soon to all the area churches and once we do, it is going to go through the roof. So, please jump in. I am already getting calls and emails.

 

I just had no idea what we were about to get into…
