Is This What You Are Looking For?

How to Upload Files to Your Web Hosting Account With FTP.

How to Upload your files to your website:

Using your FTP client, we can make this a fairly simple and painless process. Simply look at the pictures and follow the steps just below them and you will be posting and uploading your files, images and pages to your website in no timae at all!

Login to your account and then you will see:
1.    “Web Hosting” (Mouseover this and it will expand the menu).
2.    Click “My Hosting Accounts.”

Then, you will be logged into your account where you will be able to “manage hosting.”
1.    Click “open,” located under “control panel,” which is just to the right of “Hosting Account”

Once you click that, you will see the page just below. This is your “Hosting Control Center.”

Inside your “Hosting Control Center,” Mouseover “Content” on the menubar. The menu will then expand and you can see, “FTP Client.”

“Click FTP Client.”

Allow the Java screen to fully load and then you will see…

Your “FTP Client.” It looks just like this. The list on the left is the file system on your computer and the list on the right is your file system on the web server where you web pages are hosted.

On your file system on the left, navigate through your files to the place you saved your web page. (Also, remember that if you saved your files in your “My Documents” folder or on your “Desktop,” you will have to navigate by going this way…

C:\ -> Documents and Settings -> “your user name” -> (then either desktop or my documents)

Once you have located your files that you wish to transfer to your web host, then find the location on the right where you want them saved. This is very simple if you have never uploaded before, simply LEAVE this where it is. Your index.html file will automatically become your homepage when you upload it! Then…

Highlight the files on the left that you want to transfer and click the arrow in the center pointing right.

It looks like this: “>>.”

Voila! Your files are transferred. If you take too long in this screen, you may get an error that states the socket has reset or timed out or something. This is a safety feature and all you need to do is go back to the menu bar and reload your FTP Client.

Enjoy!
