Old Frederick Road covered bridge. Hard to believe that we live in the area so close to where Robert Hass walked from Gettysburg to Point Lookout prison camp. This is the bridge that was standing when he crossed. We found it accidentally today. #roberthass #civilwar #gettysburg

All Saints Parish, in the Colonial area of Frederick, Maryland. I just found out that my ancestors who were pioneer landowners in this part of Maryland had descendants that attended this church in the 1700’s through the 1800’s. They also owned the land under this area of Frederick. The original church was established in 1742 and the main chapel in back was completed in 1813. #ancestry #md #frederick #coolhistory

Finally took my lovely wife on a sushi date! Lazy Fish in Frederick, Maryland is amazing! They are hidden above a Thai restaurant and are one of the best rated Sushi places in this part of MD. We loved them!!!!! (Thanks to mom taking the girls all day) #sushi #lazyfish #awesomefood #bestoffrederick

It’s just so cool to think that right here outside the old Chapel at All Saints Parish during the War of 1812 while some family were in Baltimore, we had family members praying here at this church and literally would have come out of the doors to this area (completed in 1813) and would have talked after prayers and services. Felt cool to be there. #ancestry #frederick #allsaintsparish
