Forest Fire 1997 Anniversary

Today in 1997, we were praying and seeking GOD before 10,000 college students, young adults and young people from 23 different states and over 40 different campus ministries came to UNC’s Carmichael auditorium for an event where hundreds accepted the LORD and over 250 accepted a call to missions and ministry. We never knew this event would launch us into spreading the fire campus to campus and group to group across the Southeast as revival spread.

We stand in awe of what GOD did on 2/15/1997 and we beg GOD for another move in this generation. We pray for the next revival generation who is aching right now for GOD to move on their campus. We are praying for you. We believe in you!

Keep us in prayer for the new book “the Forest Fire” by Dustin Hedrick and Daniel Kim. We have our publisher and working on final edits and will be releasing it soon. It’s not about the book. It’s about you! Get on your knees. Pray for revival. Ask GOD for the unbelievable. Believe and act. We have seen it. We know what HE can do through simple college kids.

Coach Dean Smith Remembered

I am so thankful to have been at #UNC during the Dean Smith era, 1993-1997. He was a man of character and values!

He’s the only coach that I know of that had no problem benching Michael Jordan. He wanted a team, not superstars. He wanted character, not celebrity. I had friends on his teams and in his staff. They all only ever spoke of the man’s values and how he was hard set on them.

I wanted to simply take a moment and say that it is so hard to watch the amazing men and women who had such an affect on young people and who had such awesome integrity pass on.

If you are out there and you want to do something with your life, find great men and women who have already lived their lives and who have been used greatly by GOD with integrity and morals and learn from what they did right and don’t do what they did wrong.

Be the person that other should look up to! We need more heroes to show up and bring the next generation back to moral values and the moral character and fiber that has made this nation great.

There is no more room for moral decadence and decay.

Take a page from coach’s playbook and be a leader both on and off the court of life!
