Day 19-Starving the Thoughts
Day 19 has come to a close. It began as a bit of a rough day. Just because Disordered Jenna is not there, it does not mean remnants of her are not still lingering around. It is like a hurricane. Even when it passes, there are still things that need to be cleaned up. It never comes without leaving behind some damage. The stronghold is no longer there but the habitual thoughts still surface. However, on this particular day something very interesting happened with them. I was determined to uncover what happened and why. What could it be?!?!

I did not think the sun would come out so soon after all that happened the day before, but I found myself adjusting rather quickly to being completely authentically me. God so gracefully showed me that this is not an ending with Disordered Jenna. I will still see her. It is more of a release into all I am meant to be and do with my wings…

Day 15 had me reflecting on how far I have come in my journey. There are those moments that open your eyes to all God has done in your life. My morning began with a text composed of words I never thought I would ever say. Considering the extremes I went to in order to leave this world and how much I fought to stay, that one sentence proved to me just how much I have overcome.

Day 14 has been written with the chapter closed. I faced great temptation to look in the mirror. What would just one glace do? What would just one look do? That “just” has gotten me into a lot of trials through the years. That “just” is what convinced me to say yes to the things out to destroy me, and that yes burned me alive. But I am finding myself now rising and beauty is being created from the ashes.
